We are preparing the second edition of the Technology Incubation #demoday competition. Don’t miss the opportunity to present your project in front of representatives of our growing community and don’t miss your chance to win valuable prizes, the chance to attend the all-day Tech Happy Hours conference and the evening networking event that will replace our regular fall meet-up this year.

A review of success stories and a pitch contest of inspiring startups Technology Incubation will again be part of the international innovation festival Tech Happy Hours. Don’t miss the unique showcase of inspiring ideas from the 1st to 5th challenges of our project, part of the second edition of the ambitious startup conference. You, the innovators across the progressive sectors of Tech Incubation, will get the opportunity to present your project to an expert jury and visitors from the world of business, investment, corporates or science. Four finalists will then emerge from the top #demoday selection to win valuable prizes. You can find out what last year looked like here. The event is part of Czech Startup Weekwhich takes place in the same week as the Czech Space Week and will turn the Czech Republic into the startup hub of Europe.

Workshop for winners (1st place):

If you are a startup a you have no experience in PR and media communication, we will prepare a 3-hour online workshop for you where we will discuss:

  • What and who your startup is from a PR and communications perspective (what makes the project special, what makes it different)
  • Where the project is heading in terms of communication (objectives + how to achieve them)
  • Who is targeted (who are the target groups and what channels to set up for communication)
  • The main message of the project (key messages and media-worthy topics)
  • Communication with media and journalists (how to set it up or support it)

If you are a seasoned PR matador and want to expand abroad, we’ll set up a 3-hour online meeting to discuss:

  • How to start PR in communication abroad (press releases, cooperation with a foreign agency)
  • Paid PR in the USA (how to set up paid PR support)
  • What events can support PR in the USA (participation in international events)
  • How to set up PR in the USA from the Czech Republic (tips and tricks for setting up media relations and communicating with foreign media and journalists)

About the conference:
Engaged is a prestigious venture capital conference that connects up to 500 active investors and ambitious company founders from Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic States. It is a key platform for cross-border investment and collaboration – attracting not only major regional players, but also top investors from Western Europe looking to tap into the dynamic CEE ecosystem.

Rules and selection of startups

Online pre-selection

  • Registration via the form below is a prerequisite, by 7 September 2025 at the latest!
  • We will then arrange an online meeting with you, which will include:
  • A short introduction of both you and your startup
  • Investor Pitch – 3 minutes (in English) – can be a presentation, 2 minutes for questions from the jury
  • Evaluation criteria:
    • Market potential and competitive advantage
    • Presentation skills and speaking in English
    • Readiness for investment

In-person presentation on October 22 at Technology Incubation #demoday

  • About 20 best will advance, the pitch will take place PHYSICALLY in the Planetarium
  • The format and parameters of the pitch remain the same (AJ, 3 min., 2 min. jury questions)
  • The jury will select the 3 best presentations + award one wild card

The condition is registration until 7 September 2025, you express your interest in participating in the competition.

The competition is open to startups from theTechnology Incubation projectand ESA BIC Czech Republic.

The competition is open to startups that are in incubation as of 15 July 2025, or that enter incubation after that date (until the closing date for applications to the competition). Incubation is defined by the date of the grant decision.

Last year’s winners (1st – 3rd place) are not eligible to participate.
