NUMBER OF THE MONTH: 125

Is the number of startups registered for the fourth Technology Incubation Challenge that we are currently evaluating. CzechInvest plans to support approximately fifty of them with the amount of 118 million. CZK.

THEME OF THE MONTH

Technological incubation has been running for over two years and in that time the pre-incubation more than 1,240 startups applied. There were four calls, 116 startups applied for the first, 196 for the second and 169 for the third. While in the first two calls the AI, Creative and EcoTech areas led the way, the order changed in the third and fourth calls thanks to the opening of additional supported areas. THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER IN THE SIGN OF QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES

The Quantum Hackathon has attracted 44 young talents from all over the world to solve problems using quantum technologies. The results were announced at the Quantum Day conference, which opened up a space for discussion about the future of quantum technologies and their importance for the Czech Republic. 👉 I want to know more

THE CZECH REPUBLIC HAS A NATIONAL AI PLATFORM

The third edition of the AI Days will be held under the auspices of CNAIP from 14. until 27. October will be newly introduced all over the Czech Republic. The event will culminate in an awards ceremony AI Awards, the industry’s only AI awards. You can also look forward to our AI Startup Pitch Contest.

AI DAYS WILL TAKE PLACE ACROSS THE COUNTRY

THE DATE OF THE SPACE FESTIVAL IS KNOWN

The largest domestic space event will take place in November and will offer events for professionals, students and the general public. The programme will traditionally include the Space2Business industry day, the academic conference Copernicus User Forum and a debate with the inspiring Space4Women. Our Space Hub will not be missing either!

PRAGUE.BIO WILL FOCUS ON INVESTMENTS IN STARTUPS

The second edition of the largest biotechnology conference is coming! Experienced investors and representatives from pharmaceutical companies will meet with startups, scientists and students to help them commercialise their ideas. Representatives from the Tech4Life Hub will also be there, ready to answer your questions.

DIANA ACCELERATOR LAUNCHES A NEW CHALLENGE

The call is intended not only for startups from the defence sector, but also for the so-called. dual companies whose technical solutions have an impact on the defense field. Selected participants will receive up to €100,000, reimbursement for testing in the DIANA network, or the opportunity to present their solutions to investors and representatives of alliance armies. 👉Applications can be submitted until 9 August.

URBIS WAS VISITED BY A RECORD NUMBER OF VISITORS

URBIS The Smart City Meetup with its new concept attracted 3,750 visitors, over 80 exhibitors and more than 100 speakers. Our startups such as Agiception, Autoplatba, E-CAFE BIKE, ECOTEN urban comfort, FairCity, IONT tech, Scoolpt and Yedem were successfully presented in professional programs. 👉 I want to know more

One of them is a panel discussion Don’t be a robot and start your own business, which will take place during the Colours of Ostrava. We look forward to seeing you on July 20 at 17:30 on the Europe stage!

FINAL CHALLENGE: TECHNOLOGY FAST 50CE

CzechInvest is a proud partner of the competition, which recognises fast-growing innovative technology companies. This year’s event will focus on the topic of finding internal solutions and efficient use of own resources. So feel free to submit your project until 31 August!
