The investor will help the official. The state will send three billion to startups, the money will be distributed by private funds

Initially, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) planned to send roughly CZK 1.3 billion to startup funds, but now it has been increased to CZK 3.3 billion. According to last year’s plan, the money is to be directed, for example, to companies in the field of artificial intelligence that were founded at Czech universities, but also to other promising startups in the early stages of development. The money comes from the National Recovery Plan, with the European Investment Fund (EIF) selecting the specific administrator.

Mamio is a modern app for mothers. It acts as a platform for sharing experiences, finding products and services or getting to know each other online. The app has been running since 2022 and has been through two startup incubators in that time. This year, Czech Founders VC and PurposeTech invested CZK 7.5 million in a pre-seed round. Currently, Mamio has 15,000 users and is free to download. In the future, it wants to make money by personalizing ads, among other things.

The Czech Republic has more to offer in the start-ups. I envy their support even to Algeria, says Denemark from CzechInvest

And the programme called Technology Incubation has a total of 850 million, making it the largest programme in the history of CzechInvest.

Startup Yedem is changing corporate mobility and parking. We also want to help cities, says Matěj Ballo, co-founder of the project

In today’s hectic times, when cities are growing and traffic jams are the order of the day, finding efficient ways of transport and parking is a key issue for businesses and cities. The challenge is not only to improve the availability of parking spaces, but also to achieve sustainability in transport, as the number of cars on the road is increasing every year more than the space for parking. This is where the Czech startup Yedem comes into play, which reduces the number of cars on the road with its app system designed for businesses and, thanks to its innovative solution, also distributes parking spaces in companies fairly to employees.

Ondřej Kolařík, founder of ARBO Technologies, takes care of the lungs of our Earth

Ondřej Kolařík, director and founder of the startup ARBO Technologies s.r.o., has dedicated his entrepreneurial career to the development of a tool to facilitate and refine the output data needed for the work of arborists. Using its own software, Adbian performs analyses by testing 3D models obtained from input data in the form of quantitative features, photographs or scans. The aim is to detect not only trees dangerous for the surroundings, but also trees that are only seemingly at risk and thus prevent their unnecessary felling. Data show that strong mature trees are more beneficial than small, newly planted trees. And if we can keep the mature trees for a while longer, let’s take advantage of it.
