Advanced materials and technologies
Fuel your startup with the power of nucleus and advanced materials.
The Hub supports technologies with a wide range of applications due to their versatile nature. It helps to connect startups, corporations, the research sector and public administration so that their knowledge in advanced materials, manufacturing technologies, micro and nanoelectronics and photonics, robotics, quantum technologies and technologies based on nuclear and particle physics research find the best possible applications. The aim of the Hub is not only to create bridges between sectors, but also to raise awareness of the potential of these areas for the whole Czech Republic.
Our goal
To connect startups, corporations, the research sector and public administration so that their knowledge in advanced materials, manufacturing technologies, micro and nanoelectronics and photonics, robotics, quantum technologies and technologies based on nuclear and particle physics research find the best possible applications.
The aim of the broad sector of advanced manufacturing technologies and materials, in conjunction with technologies based on nuclear and particle physics research, is to find the best possible innovative applications and bring them to commercial exploitation.
Examples of supported areas
Advanced materials and technologies – new materials and technologies with improved properties such as higher strength, better heat resistance, conductivity, corrosion resistance or better recyclability, e.g.: new nanostructures, nanocomposites and nanomaterials, innovations for construction, infrastructure, etc.
Robotics – machine learning, real-time data analysis and autonomous decision making, swarm robotics (a group of robots working together to achieve a common goal), human-robot collaboration, application of new materials in robotics.
Microelectronics – new processes, materials and solutions for electronic components, semiconductors, sensors and displays, microsystems for sensing, control and other applications.
Quantum and post-quantum technologies – quantum and post-quantum principles for securing communication and data (cryptography), creating unbreakable secure channels for communication (quantum networks), hardware and software tools for developing and testing quantum and post-quantum technologies and their use for IT applications, infrastructure, IoT, telecommunications and cloud services.
Photonics – advanced optical communication technologies and photonic components, such as optical fibres, optical components and systems for fast and reliable data transmission, optical chips, lasers, micro-optical elements or photonic applications based on newly developed components.
3D printing – new materials for 3D printing, such as plastic filaments, metals, ceramics, biodegradable materials, etc., 3D printed models of organs for medical diagnostics and surgeon training, production of precision prostheses and implants.
Technologies based on nuclear and particle physics research
Who we are looking for
Our incubator will accept startups that deal with advanced manufacturing technologies and materials, microelectronics, photonics, robotics, quantum technologies, 3D printing and technologies based on nuclear and particle physics research.
We are building an ecosystem that will bring about fundamental change and innovation in the world of technology. To achieve this, we also need to join forces with companies and organisations that share similar values. Joint partnership will allow us to share experience, resources and know-how. Do you want to know more about the cooperation? Contact us.
