Defence Hub
Defence Hub is a strategic initiative of the CzechInvest agency that supports innovation and technological development in the field of defence and dual-use technologies. We help companies to connect to potential partners, identify opportunities for funding their technology, or directly support them in some of the Agency’s programmes including Technology Incubation – specifically in the sector of Tech4Life.
The two pillars of the Defence Hub
- CONTACT POINT – We connect Czech innovation with key opportunities at national and European level, including DIANA, NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) and European Defence Fund (EDF) initiatives.
- ACCELERATION PLACE – We are looking for and supporting high potential startups for programs like NATO DIANA and will run the DIANA Accelerator Czechia.
We connect Czech innovation with key opportunities at national and European level, including DIANA, NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) and European Defence Fund (EDF) initiatives. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic, CzechInvest is one of the acceleration points of the DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) programme, launched by NATO in 2023.
DIANA Accelerator Czechia acts as a bridge between Czech startups and the international program. We provide advice, help with application administration, mentoring and contacts. The actual decision on acceptance into the program remains in the hands of DIANA HQ in London. Companies of all sizes are welcome to apply. The key is the dual-use potential of the technology, i.e. the possibility of use in both the civilian and military spheres.
