Fintech HUB opens the door to innovation in finance. It offers a safe environment for testing new fintech and DLT solutions, connects startups with key players, helps them navigate legislation and accelerate market entry. It strengthens the fintech and DLT ecosystem in the Czech Republic.
Our goal
The Fintech Sandbox platform is aimed at supporting innovation in financial technology and decentralised solutions (fintech and DLT).
It aims to create a safe, open and inspiring environment where startups, SMEs, academic institutions and public authorities can collaborate, share know-how and test new products and services in compliance with current legislation. The platform offers comprehensive support – from regulatory testing, consultation with experts and regulators, technical testing and business mentoring.
Fintech Sandbox
The Fintech Sandbox creates a dynamic environment, connecting key players across sectors, helping participants to better navigate regulatory requirements, minimise risks and accelerate market entry. The Czech Republic has the ambition to become the brain and heart of the European fintech ecosystem – and the Fintech Sandbox is where ideas are born, partnerships are formed and the position and competitiveness of Czech fintech is strengthened at European and global level.
The first Fintech Sandbox in the Czech Republic was created as part of the National Recovery Plan. The project is implemented by the CzechInvest agency in cooperation with partners from the public and private sector.
Our Sandbox offers startups that bring innovation to the world of finance comprehensive indirect support – from expert consulting, regulatory advice and technical testing to business mentoring. In a safe and transparent environment, companies can validate and test their innovations, minimize regulatory risks and get valuable feedback from experts and regulatory experts.
In doing so, it contributes to the development of an open, collaborative and digitally oriented ecosystem that supports new technologies such as digital identity, blockchain or smart contracts. The Fintech Sandbox is helping to transform the Czech Republic into a centre of European fintech innovation.
Who we’re looking for:
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs):
- legal persons established for the purpose of doing business
- natural persons operating according to the Trade Licensing Act
- entities based in the Czech Republic (including Prague)
- Innovative fintech and DLT startups that:
- offer new financial technology services, products or business models
- are interested in testing their solutions in a regulatory and technical environment
- Entities ready for cooperation that:
- are interested in mentoring, consulting, testing and networking.
- are willing to work with experts, regulators and other Sandbox participants.
