In many dairy cattle farms, the causative agent of mammary gland disease (mastitis) is still not investigated and untargeted and inaccurate antibiotic treatment is applied. This leads to significant economic losses associated with the cost of used pharmaceuticals and lost profits on unsold milk.
We have been working on reducing the (over)use of antimicrobials for a long time, bringing to market innovative automated farm test evaluation using artificial intelligence (AI) to identify the causative agent (pathogen) of inflammation and help with effective treatment and reducing the (over)use of antimicrobials in farms.
