Shealed is developing an innovative diagnostic self-test for the two most common vaginal infections – bacterial vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis. The aim is to reduce misdiagnosis rates and provide women with an accurate, fast and discreet solution from the comfort of their own home. In addition, by working closely with gynaecologists, the test is designed to fit naturally into everyday outpatient practice where it will reduce the costs associated with incorrect treatment and reduce waiting times. It will also find its place in remote care or telemedicine, contributing to a greater spread of high-quality and efficient diagnostics.
