Imagine a person who continuously monitors all the electricity generation plants – photovoltaic power plants and the largest appliances – charging stations, heat pumps, air conditioners, etc. He then makes predictions about the future behaviour and requirements of the site based on the data he receives, at the same time getting a complete overview of external influences such as energy prices, and constantly calculating and calculating. It buys, sells, stores or consumes energy efficiently. It switches on the charging of electric vehicles and limits the charging power. This person never gets tired, has no physical needs, and does not want to take vacations. This is the role played by the WATTEE – the ever-ready and alert energy manager.
