From October 16 to 18, 2026, Rakathon will connect Prague, Brno, and Ostrava, bringing together students, healthcare professionals, developers, data specialists, researchers, designers, and other innovators to answer real-world calls in the fields of oncology and healthcare.

Do you want to help others through technology?

Let’s use artificial intelligence to fight cancer. Together, we can improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. We can help doctors and nurses save time, simplify their daily work, and allow them to focus on what matters most—their patients.

In collaboration with Motol and Homolka University Hospitals and the Second Faculty of Medicine at Charles University , the CzechInvest agency ( part of CzechBusiness) is helping to organize a hackathon based on real-world calls from hospital oncology practice. In 2026, the project will expand significantly. The hackathon will now take place simultaneously in Prague, Brno, and Ostrava, making it the largest healthcare AI hackathon in the world. We expect more than 500 participants from the fields of computer science, medicine, biomedicine, data science, and other related disciplines.

The event is held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, the Minister of Health, and the Government Commissioner for Artificial Intelligence.

During an intensive hackathon weekend, multidisciplinary teams will develop new concepts in the field of technology, AI solutions, and functional prototypes with the potential to have a real impact on patients, healthcare professionals, and the healthcare system as a whole.

You don’t need to have your own team or be a programmer to participate!

Join the people who want to use AI and technology where they can make a real difference.

I want to be there
