How can sustainability help companies win new contracts, reduce costs, and boost their competitiveness? This will be the focus of the next workshop in the Green Evolution Lab series, which will take place on October 22, 2026, at Impact Hub Brno. Markéta Svobodová will speak on behalf of Enterprise Europe Network Czechia. In her workshop, she will show how small and medium-sized enterprises can prepare for the requirements of large customers and use sustainability as a competitive advantage.
Sustainability is having an ever-greater impact on the day-to-day operations of companies today. Both major customers and new legislation are requiring companies to provide more and more information about the origin of materials, packaging, and the environmental impact of production. However, these requirements don’t have to mean just more obligations. They can also be an opportunity to save money, win new contracts, or stay one step ahead of the competition.
This is precisely what the next workshop in the Green Evolution Lab series will focus on. It will take place on October 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Impact Hub Brno. You can look forward to hearing from companies and experts, seeing concrete real-world examples, and having opportunities to ask questions and network.
What will you learn from experienced experts?
Jan Čillík from Tierra Verde will share the experiences of this Brno-based manufacturer of eco-friendly personal care products. The company was at the forefront of the packaging-free movement in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. When the trend began to wane, it introduced a simpler system of returnable bottles, which is now also used for online sales through Rohlík.cz. As a result, the company has long been successful in returning nearly 90% of its packaging to circulation. Jan will openly discuss what this journey entailed, what results it has yielded, and how to talk about sustainability in a way that resonates with customers while also complying with new European regulations against greenwashing.
Tomáš Svoboda, co-founder and CEO of Sustainova, will also share his perspective as an entrepreneur, Tomáš has experience managing a team of a thousand people in Vietnam, built a company from the ground up to a successful exit, and co-founded a waste management company whose business model he presented at the United Nations. Today, he leads a platform that helps companies navigate carbon management and European regulations and turn them into a competitive advantage.
And the perspective of Enterprise Europe Network Czechia will also be featured.
