On the basis of high interest, CzechInvest will announce an additional call from 24 November 2025 Technology incubations, the largest Czech project to support innovative young companies. So far, 260 Czech start-ups from seven specialised technology hubs have already been promised CZK 646.4 million. The new allocation brings an additional CZK 100 million and will allow at least 20 new products or services to be supported.

“Technological incubation is an important project for the future of Czech industry. It focuses on promising technology sectors and helps companies in the early, pre-seed stage, when access to capital is difficult and commercial financing is often unavailable. Thanks to the subsequent connection with investors, more than CZK 577.9 million from private sources has already been channelled to incubated startups in the first years. Based on these positive results, we are therefore extending the project by one year and increasing the original allocation of CZK 680 million by an additional CZK 100 million to further strengthen the development of the Czech entrepreneurial environment,” confirms the contribution of the project Martin Švolba, Director of the Department of Research, Development and Innovation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

CzechInvest as the national innovation, investment and development agency has been consistently supporting startups, budding entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship since 2010. Technology Incubation is its most ambitious initiative to date. Its original goal was to support 250 domestic companies between 2022 and 2027 through financial and non-financial instruments to accelerate their development and market entry. With the addition of the new challenge, it envisages up to 280 projects and their possible incubation until 2028.

The project focuses on seven key areas: artificial intelligence, advanced materials, mobility, creative industries, space technologies, ecology and the circular economy, as well as solutions to preserve, protect and enhance life (including medicine, biotechnology and security technologies).

“Since its launch, 1,726 young companies have already expressed interest in participating in the Technology Incubation, which according to current estimates by Smart Market Report 2025 represents almost half of all Czech startups. Moreover, we have confirmed from regularly monitored feedback that more than 70% of the participating companies consider the support of Technology Incubation as a key factor for starting their business. On average, the project contributed to the financing of every third crown invested in the development of incubated projects. The first participants of the project are not only receiving key investments, but also significant awards at home and abroad and are successfully preparing to enter global markets. These include startups such as E-CAFE BIKE, Robotwin, Lightly Technologies, Myco and Zaitra, along with a number of other promising companies,” adds Tereza Kubicová, deputy for technological development of the CzechInvest agency .

The planned project challenge will be open from 24 November 2025 to 9 January 2026 (12:00). However, interested parties can already participate in the pre-incubation. There, founders can consult all the necessary requirements for a successful application. In the new challenge, only the Incubation PLUS option will be available for a total amount of CZK 5 million with a duration of 18 or 24 months. Details will be published on the website www.technologickainkubace.org in due course.

Startups that have participated in the programme before can also apply if they meet the de minimis condition and present a new innovative idea or a significant extension of the original project. Those interested in participating in the ESA BIC Czech Republic Space Incubator apply individually under its separate challenges.

The project is financed from the state budget through the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the programme The Country for the Future.
