StratiPhrenia Ltd. is a biotech, employee-owned spin-out company of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) that provides stratified diagnostics and novel treatments for patients with schizophrenia (SZ). It is built on NUDZ’s groundbreaking and unique, patent-protected research. StratiPhrenia’s scientific and technological breakthrough is the patent-protected discovery of 3 biologically distinct clusters of schizophrenia (SZ) patients. Within just 12 months of the first episode of the disease, each cluster of SZ patients exhibits morphologically distinct MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) profiles in the architecture of the cerebral cortex. This allows us to develop a simple and clinically applicable panel of blood biomarkers.
