Children’s mental health is a serious issue today, as children face overload, stress and concentration problems that the traditional school system often cannot cope with. Ivona Růžová, a special educator and founder of the startup Všímavec, has responded to this need by bringing the first Czech app and programs focused on mindfulness techniques for children aged 3 to 11. Všímavec is available for schools and parents and offers practical, short exercises that develop emotional intelligence, promote concentration and stress management, all simply and without the need for complex preparation.
The unique value of this platform is its connection with modern technology. It works through a web interface and as a mobile app for parents. This technological simplicity allows for quick and wide implementation in both the classroom and home environment. It is thanks to the Technology Incubation Programme of the CzechInvest Agency that Všímavec has received key support for growth, not only financial resources, but also mentoring, expert guidance and strategic support. This allowed us to accelerate development, validate the direction and prepare for product expansion.
Today, the platform is used by more than 500 schools, working with experts from Masaryk University and the health insurance company. In the future, the Všímavec team wants to expand its presence in the Czech Republic and abroad and is preparing to personalise content using artificial intelligence. It also plans to introduce tools to measure and evaluate children’s mental health progress. In this way, Všímavec shows how modern technology with an expert background can really change the way we approach children’s development, with an emphasis on prevention, empathy and early support.
