Seven Czech startups went to New York in June to participate in the Czech Startup Week New York 2025 bootcamp. The event was organized by CzechInvest in cooperation with the New York accelerator SOSA and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The bootcamp was held on the occasion of New York Tech Week – the largest technology event in the city, which this year offered participants more than 900 different events focused on technology and startups.

The American market has opened its doors to Czech startups

This year’s Czech Startup Week New York, which took place from 2. to 6. June, was attended by representatives of Czech companies, ClaimPartner, PalmApp, Elredo, Principia, Lightly Technologies, Yedem and Tonagena. Most of these companies are part of CzechInvest’s startup programs, which has been helping Czech startups since 2011.

Throughout the week, Czech startups attended an intensive program focused on entering the US market, validating products and networking with local experts, mentors and investors. The culmination of the bootcamp was a final pitch in front of an expert jury at the Czech National Building in Manhattan.

International pitching night brought Czech innovations directly in front of investors

The programme also included an international pitching night, which CzechInvest co-organised together with representatives of 15 other European countries. In addition to the networking opportunity for all participants, the startups Lightly Technologies and Yedem were given the opportunity to present their innovative solutions to American investors and establish contacts with the global startup community.

Participation in Czech Startup Week 2025 is part of CzechInvest’s long-term strategy to support Czech startups and strengthen their competitiveness on global markets. Thanks to partnerships with local accelerators and participation in prestigious events such as New York Tech Week, new opportunities for growth and expansion are opening up for Czech startups.
