
Czech Startup Week New York introduced 7 Czech startups to the USA
Our startups got a unique opportunity to present their innovations, make contacts with investors and test their potential for entering the US market at Czech Startup Week New York.
We have opened two project calls in 2023. The first (18. May – 19 June) was dedicated to startups from the fields of mobility, AI, creative industries and ecotech. The second one (17 November – 18 December) was successfully extended by biotechnology, advanced materials, healthcare and security solutions.
Is the total number of areas our project addresses. The Advanced Tech & Materials Hub and the Tech4Life Hub complemented the previously opened hubs on the occasion of the second call. Space is still linked to ESA BIC Czech Republic.
In 2023, we started collaboration and incubation with 37 startups from the first project call, which was announced in 2022.

It is the number of women founders who have registered their project or startup for pre-incubation. In general, the proportion of women is only 13%.
This is how many consultations with those interested in incubation were carried out by colleagues from ESA BIC Czech Republic. They resulted in 7 newly incubated startups. Last year, they added to the fleet of 53 space technology companies.
This is how many applications for support were submitted in last year’s project calls. Most of them were from the AI field – 109, followed by Creative Industries with 87 applications, EcoTech with 73 applications and Mobility with 43 applications. New areas opened only in the second call received 41 applications for Tech4Life and 12 applications for Advanced Tech Materials.
