Czech Space Week, the largest domestic space industry festival, is about to take place.
From 4. to 10. November 2024 will see the seventh edition of Czech Space Week, the largest domestic space industry festival with the main programme in Prague and Brno, whose main organiser is the Czech Space Team. Its member is also the Space Hub of the Technology Incubation Agency CzechInvest.
What can you look forward to in this year’s programme?
- The traditional Space2Business industrial days at the Czernin Palace of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic on 5 and 6 November will be held in the spirit of international networking, information-packed panel discussions and presentations of individual space companies operating mainly in the CEE region.
- The student conference The Next Stop: Space, organised by ESERO Czech Republic and the Czech Rocket Society, will introduce high school and university students to opportunities in the space sector on 8 November at the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. It will also include a job fair, which will offer young people attractive internships or first job offers.
- Czech Copernicus User Forum by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, which will take place on 4 and 5 November in the Fanta building of Prague’s Main Railway Station. The first day of the conference will focus on presentations on remote sensing and Copernicus by representatives of the government, universities and private sectors. The second day will be followed by an international half-day workshop organised by the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS).
- On 7 November, Brno University of Technology will host a panel discussion Space4Women dedicated to successful female scientists, managers and experts who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible not only in space. The event for the public aims to inspire and encourage women to become interested in space careers.
- There will also be a space for the presentation of new space startups incubated at the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) during the ESA BIC Launchpad networking show on 6 November.
- The highlight of the Czech Space Week will be the Space Gala full of renowned personalities of the Czech and international space industry, which will take place on 5 November in the Fant Building of the Main Station.
