Iron Analytics

Development and testing of innovative methods for the production of sealed radionuclide sources for Mössbauer spectroscopy.

The project focuses on the in-house development and production of weak radioactive gamma emitters of the 57Co radionuclide for Mössbauer spectrometers, which Iron Analytics develops, manufactures and supplies to the global market. Research and industrial laboratories around the world that use Mössbauer spectrometers are faced with the unavailability of these gamma-ray sources, which until now have only been produced in the Russian Federation. The project aims to develop and market its own 57Co sources for both laboratory and industrial use. The in-house production of gamma emitters will allow the penetration of their products into new industries where Mössbauer spectroscopy is not yet used.
