Advanced software for autonomous processing of satellite data directly on board satellites, edge AI system to detect objects of interest in real time and select only relevant images or parts of images before transmission to Earth. It increases the efficiency of data handling and reduces the cost of operating satellite missions. As part of the development process, the software is being extended with new AI models trained on a modified dataset that reflects the specific requirements of the partners’ cameras. The resulting solution is ready for immediate integration while optimized for operation in environments with limited computing power and energy requirements. Further development within Technology Incubation includes integration activities towards commercial deployment of the product with selected camera providers, resulting in a complete solution ready for deployment on real missions.
