The presentations were evaluated in two blocks by a jury of leading Czech and foreign experts consisting of Beata Vörösová (Seed Starter of Česká spořitelna), Zdeněk Havel (Director for AI Hub of Technology Incubation), Matěj Krček (Purple Ventures) and Ira Saul Rubenstein (mentor and consultant, specialist in alternative energy and clean tech). The role of guest of honor was taken by Or Haviv (Arieli Capital), one of the main foreign stars of Tech Happy Hours. The key success criteria were the market potential and competitive advantage of the project, the presentation skills of the representative, the ability to engage the audience in English and the company’s readiness for investment. The competition was hosted by journalist and blogger Do Thu Trang.
The winners then advanced to the final international round, where they competed for the absolute winner’s prize in the Pitch & Cheers: Startup Contest together with the winners of the recent rounds of the AI Startup Pitch Contest in Prague and Brno, which was co-organized by AI Hub Technology Incubation as part of the AI Days festival. Both events were part of the newly established Czech Startup Week platform, bringing together prestigious startup events into one week packed with inspiration and international networking.
In addition to existing Technology Incubation startups, the demoday event was also a great opportunity for those interested in incubation. Therefore, the opportunities and ambitions of the programme were presented by the Director of Startup Incubation Kateřina Rundová at the beginning of the meeting. A new round of the call will be launched in the coming days. However, it is already possible to consult your application within the framework of the so-called pre-incubation, which is open during the whole calendar year.
