Wednesday 12. June 2024, the second networking meeting of the Technology Incubation and ESA BIC Czech Republic projects took place. In the premises of Město-Mora in Holešovice, we welcomed representatives of our startups from the first, second and third calls, expert mentors and mentors, as well as those who are working intensively on the largest project of the CzechInvest agency.
What was the programme?
The introductory, expert part devoted to startup opportunities and indirect support was led by Kateřina Rundová, Director of the Startup Incubation Department, and Jan Ruml, Project Manager of the EcoTech Sector.
Guests were then introduced to new project managers and heard from Veronika Šimková (Start-up Acceleration Department) about the opportunity to apply for a new programme focused on global expansion. Startups and spin-offs can use up to CZK 3 million for activities such as pre-mentoring, acceleration, expansion or R&D expansion, key for successful entry into foreign markets.
The open stage featured startups Agricarbon, ARBO Technologies, Contesaur, Coursition, E-CAFE BIKE, KARDI AI and Technologies for Freeride.
The evening also included sectoral meetings of startups with the CEOs and directors of the seven progressive hubs and their incubation and project managers. Together they discussed news, planned events, the content of the next meeting and setting up further collaborations.
The pleasant social meeting, hosted by Creative Hub Director Markéta Mentelová, was followed by an informal networking session, which was also attended by CzechInvest CEO Jan Michal.

In the case of space startups, the application for incubation and the subsequent selection are separate from the Technology Incubation calls.
