Check out a photo look back at our fall meeting with record attendance and a rich program.

Wednesday 11. September 2024, we organized an autumn meeting for more than 130 guests of the Technology Incubation and ESA BIC Czech Republic projects at the Vodafone PLAYzone Arena. Our young companies from the first, second and third round of incubation, including alumni, once again had the opportunity to share their experiences, successes and challenges not only with each other, but also with leading industry experts, representatives of our hubs and others who are preparing the largest project of the CzechInvest agency.

And what all did we manage to do in the rich programme?

The opening welcome was given by Tereza Kubicová, Deputy Minister for Technological Development, who welcomed everyone via teleconference from her working trip in Ethiopia.

After introducing the newcomers in the Technology Incubation team, Project Manager Radka Rusová continued with setting up cooperation with experts. The stage then belonged to the foursome Jiří Beneš, Stanislav Kuznetsov, Michael Lekovski, Tomáš Papež, who together with video presentations by Pavlína Louženská and Marek Martinka presented their work as expert mentors.

Ivo Denemark, Director of the Startups and Venture Investments Division, invited us to the upcoming Czech Startup Week. It will include 22. October at the Phenomen club in Smíchov, Czech Republic, we will be hosting a demo day of the Technology Incubation project and a pitch competition for all our startups.

Kateřina Rundová, Director of the Startup Incubation Department, then answered questions about the expert network, the functioning of the Technology Incubation or the use of direct and indirect support. The official part of the programme was then concluded by the Director General of CzechInvest Jan Michal, who then took part in an informal networking session.

The evening also included sectoral meetings of startups with the CEOs and directors of the seven progressive hubs and their incubation and project managers. Together they discussed news, planned events, the content of the next meeting and setting up further collaborations.

There was also a knowledge competition for books and the opportunity to try out the esport centre with gaming computers, consoles, VR or racing simulators.
