Development of an original technology for recycling brick waste into products usable in the construction industry.
The environmental focus in the European Community has led to the need to reduce carbon emissions in energy-intensive industries such as cement and construction. Inorganic activators offer a promising solution by reducing the carbon footprint while maintaining technical parameters comparable to traditional binders. Existing research has investigated qualified raw materials and sorted waste, but our intention is to develop a cost-effective technology for processing unsorted waste. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge about inorganic materials, promote socially beneficial products and replace established building materials with greener alternatives.
Unique selling points:
- Processing of brick waste.
- Recycling of brick waste into building products (bricks, fittings) with high contents of unsorted brick rubble above 60 wt.% using a firing-free technology.
- Reducing the carbon footprint of construction production.
