Smart management of electricity consumption in households with regard to the integration of renewable electricity sources.

My Smart Socket allows households without their own PV to consume large amounts of electricity at times when it is cheapest on the energy market. This saves customers’ wallets while hundreds of thousands of households optimised in this way can make a significant contribution to smoothing out fluctuations in the grid. Today, this role is played by coal or gas-fired power plants or artificially built electricity meters. Yet only boilers in Czech households offer the same grid balancing capacity as the entire Temelín nuclear power plant.
